  • Player safety is our top priority. All coaches are required to complete USA Football coaching certification, which includes training on proper tackling techniques, player safety, and concussion awareness. In addition, every coach must pass a background check before working with players. We follow established safety guidelines for equipment, practice structure, and concussion protocols, and additional protective equipment such as Guardian Caps is available to help reduce impact. Our goal is to provide a safe, structured environment where athletes can learn the game and compete with confidence.

  • Player registration fees help cover the core operating costs of the program including league registration, field use, equipment, uniforms, insurance, referees, and other program expenses that allow us to run a safe and organized football season.

  • Practices begin in August and will be held held 4 evenings per week from 4:30p-6:30p. Once the school year starts, we’ll practice 3 days per week after school.

    Times may vary slightly as the volunteer coaching staff may have work conflicts to work through.

  • Games are typically played on Saturdays, throughout the fall season. Specific schedules will be shared with families once the league releases the official game calendar.

  • We will play 8 games. Depending on our record, we may play an additional game or 2. The season will conclude before November.

  • Players are responsible for providing football cleats, a mouthguard, girdle, and any optional personal gear such as gloves.

  • Yes. Each family is required to complete two volunteer shifts during the season to help support the program and ensure game days and events run smoothly.

  • We are always looking for parents and community members who want to help make the program great. Whether it's coaching, volunteering, helping with events, or supporting fundraising efforts, there are many ways to get involved and be part of the Northstars football community.
